Since the invention of film and tv, every generation has had a few outstanding movies and shows. Some highlighting the errors of humanity, some expressing what miracle life is, some which simply offer a small take on every day life. What nearly all great films and series have in common though is brilliant writing, wonderful acting, and perhaps most importantly of all, deep profound meaning which speaks to the very soul of not only the generation it was spawned in but to almost every generation before and after.
Be it through heavy metaphors and symbolism or through intense graphic and literal scenes, what makes this area of entertainment most meaningful are the incredible messages of insight on society, humanity, existence, and philosophy.
The series which I feel will live on as an ultimate classic for as long television is around does an absolutely marvelous job of expressing the human psyche, our interactions with one another, and what life in general is about.
Portraying people as a scant few different types all with stupendous emotional and psychological depth, this television series reaches out to the youth while maintaining a large cult following among all age groups.
In this series, youth is embodied as the sun, forever shedding light upon the world, leading the way to the future, and keeping all life going.
People are driven by close bonds and friendship. Always more than willing to share and help each other out. Always active and spreading cheer.
What I feel makes it so amazing is that while other series only point out flaws in society, this series acknowledges that the world has many imperfections but also offers solutions. It doesn't oversimplify by just saying the world is an ugly place with nothing but pain and sorrow.
Though I've never seen it myself, the Teletubbies is an excellent show we should all appreciate.
no way.. when i was small i watched this show too! ...Only it was on a different language :3
But i cant believe other people, all over the globe has seen it too!
I watched this when I was a baby. And my parents always told me that I would get so happy and worked up over the sun with the baby's face on it. When I was told such, I few scenes of watching it when I was a baby came back to me. So, I couldn`t of been 2 or I wouldn`t remember it. I had to be 3... Damn, I miss the 90`s.. When I was little, the Teletubbies, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Pokémon was da bomb.. Now they all suck!! XD When I first saw the title of this blog, I was like, "What the hell", and then I had some assumptions of what it might be, and I was right. Great blog, though! +1 Zoey would feature this.. XD
