Recently I have been working on a novel. The plot has been forming within me for years. Now I have finally been able to start getting it down on paper. I won't give anything away. All I am sharing for now is the beginning. Feedback is requested! I can be biased towards some of my work at times. I need to know if you are "hooked" on this beginning. Would reading this short beginning interest you in reading the rest of the book? Is it too slow? Not descriptive enough? Please share your thoughts!!
"The green lace curtains were swaying gently in the crisp breeze coming in from the open window in the little kitchen. Water bubbled in a tiny tin pot which sat atop the wood burning stove. The flames tenderly lapped at the pot from all sides,
and the aroma of red peppers and seasoning filled the room. Drops of blood fell down from the table, upon which lay an old, rusty knife. The handle was wooden, and the blade mangled. A single finger lay beside it, resting in a pool of blood; the bones and tendons
exposed and lacerated."
Thank you for reading.
Note: I realize this is short. Unfortunately this is all I have for the time being.
