After the amazing event of London 2012 you would think that with thousands of people traveling abroad to see London 2012. You would think that buisnesses would of had more money but that is not what is seemed though
the number of unemployed people fell by 7,000 in the quarter to July as the Olympic Games provided a jobs boost and helped continue the recent trend for falling joblessness.
The unemployment rate has dipped 0.1 per centage points to 8.1 per cent for the three months from May to July as the jobless total fell to 2.59million, according to the latest Labour Market report by the Office for National Statistics.
Meanwhile, the number of people in work increased by 236,000 to 29.6million - the largest quarterly rise for two years, with London accounting for 91,000 of the rise
The number of people claiming jobseeker's allowance in July recorded the largest monthly drop since June 2010, falling by 15,000 to 1.57million. London had 5,500 fewer claimants, suggesting the Olympics was the cause behind the fall.
Other figures revealed the number of part-time workers increased by 134,000 to reach 8.12million - the highest since records began in 1992. Among these, a record 1.42million were working part-time because they could not find a full-time job.
Public sector employment fell for the eleventh quarter in a row, by 235,000 to 5.7 million, the ONS said.
But this has also put buisnesses in profit as more bikes were bought then in previous years from a olympic biker won gold, incouraging them to buy bikes
Paralympic Games
Although the brilliant opening ceromony was great and so were the paralympics themselves only a fraction of the people who went to the olympics went to see the paralympics leaving not much further of people moving into UK for some reason and getting jobs left dissapointment to the UK
