I made a twitter, and now I dont see what I should be doing with it. I really wanna get into the world of pointless tweets that so many of my friends are in but I dont understand how it works.
What is following and is it a one-way thing like it sounds? Like, if I follow someone, they dont get my updates do they? And how would they know I followed them?
Also, who sees tweets? And exactly how different is Twitter from Facebook? I understand they're very different (not a total noob here ) but I dont know enough about twitter to know what that difference is.
Everyone can see your tweets. It's not really different from Facebook. you can DM (Direct Message, self explanatory) and then you can tag someone in your tweet. No one can see your DM to another person but everyone can see your tweet, whether you tagged someone or not. If you follow soomeone, you see all THEIR tweets without searching them up. They can't see yours unless they search you up and look at your tweets or they follow you so they get your updates. If you follow them, the follow button says "Following" & it also shows who else follows them.
Hopefully I helped c: Kinda long&confusing, but still uderstandable.
