Hello. Today I type to you not as a user of this site but as a person. As we all know/selfdelude, these are dark times. There are diseases we have no cure for. There are problems we have no answers to. It goes without say that times are hard, and people are losing hope.
With this loss of hope comes a lower morale. People don't have the energy they used to. They're becoming depressed, mopey, and docile. From the look of some people (teens staring blankly at their phones/games/tv), you'd think they were lifeless zombies. BUT, I discovered something. Hope is not yet lost.
Today while riding the bus I saw some guy with that blank lifeless look. I saw one of those zombies. Naturally, I tried poking him with a stick because it's fun to poke dead people. What happened was beyond belief.
The first time I poked him, he hardly reacted at all. Then of course I did it again slightly harder. Then the third time, I jabbed him as hard as I could, and BY GOODNESS, that guy got angry! He got so angry that he immediately stood up, grabbed my corpse-jabbing-stick, and tried to attack me.
I then ran and he chased after me. The look of passionate anger on his face was inspiring. It was inspiring because it was first hand proof that he had NOT lost his morale! He had NOT become a lifeless zombie! And most important of all, he had NOT LOST HOPE! And I'll be damned if that guy didn't chase me ten full blocks before he tripped and I got away.
I tried this with many other random people on the street with similar results each time. This proves that not everyone has lost hope. People are still very much alive with emotion albeit red hot and provoked.
Everyone, I urge you to do as I have. Go into the streets and see for yourself the level of hope the common person still has. Incite a burning flame of passion in their hearts. Don't worry if people seem ungrateful. It's a thankless job, but it needs doing.
As long as we have hope, we have a future. Thanks for your time.
