The Katamphy are a shunned group of mutants. Who were brought into this world through unknown causes. Left for dead, they were expected to wither away within months.
However, they thrived, Living lives almost identical to the average humans. They created homes and families, found jobs, and formed communities The Katamphy became as common a race as any minority group.
The Lonergang does not bear every Katemphy existing. Quite a few manage on their own. Some started separate groups. Some even work with the government -- despite the human races' hatred for the freaks.
But that is another story.
The official birth date of the gang is unknown, lost through the many generations. However it is thought to be relatively modern. It may be only a few hundred years old.
The important piece of history takes place in the not-so-distant future. The Amreicas were finally getting sick of the Katemphy, blaming them for bleeding the country's wealth dry among accusations for many other wrongs. Thus the American Government dedicated a whole new branch of military to getting rid of the Katemphy; VEOA, or, the Vermin Exterminators OF America.
Numerous Independent Katemhpies and smaller side gangs were wiped out, Along with many of the no longer trusted spies. However, the Lonergang remained strong, playing a large part in an all-out war between their race and the American government.
The war started quietly, VEOA hunting down, and destroying any Katemphy they found. Then, they actually were trying to respect the Human population in the process, but when Katemphy retaliated, ugliness escalated. Quiet assassination turned into guerilla warfare as VEOA’s actions came into the light. New technology was created by both sides to get the best of the other. The Katemphy became so despised that the lives of many lesser citizens were often discarded for a few Katemphy pelts. Here, violence within the country peaked. Humans were going to greatest possible heights to eradicate the Katemphy race. Destroying cities; even euthanizing the majority of the lower class for more funds. America created a nasty hole for their nation that they would eventually have to dig themselves out of.
Worn out, and striving for an end to this nightmare, the Lonergang fled America, heading for Canada, nearly thrown into extinction in the process. Once in Canada the Gang joined up with another Katemphy group, the Sidelines, and laid low until their strength recovered.
After America's lousy mistake, an underground testing facility, the LOE, was notified of a new game plan involving nearly every country on the planet. Their exact plans continue to elude the gang for now.
