Hello Kids! Amber Empathy here! It's been quiet some time since I posted a poem on here, so here is a poem that was inspired by October, the month of bullying prevention. I am just now getting around to post it, so I hope you all enjoy!

"Breaking the Silence"

You feel so alone,
You feel so cold.
Emptiness fills your heart,
It did from the very start.

Do not fear,
Trust me my dear.
Do not fret,
For your fate has been set.

Pain and sorrow only exists in your mind,
But I guess that is when you let your true feelings shine.
Just know that you are never alone.
There will always be someone who you can call their arms your home.

Do not fear,
Trust me my dear.
Do not fret,
For your fate has been set.

Hate is nothing compared to love
Because love is as pure as a dove.
So ignore those who cause you pain,
Ignore those who make you feel insane.

Do not fear,
Trust me my dear.
Do not fret,
For your fate has been set.

You shouldn’t have to hide your feelings,
They are just like millions of letters with permanent sealings.
You should speak your mind,
There is no such thing as wasting people’s time.

Do not fear,
Trust me my dear.
Do not fret,
For your fate has been set.

Stop hiding away.
Stop hiding your feelings, stop hiding your pain.
You are not worthless.
Take my hand, and other’s hands that care, trust them, and trust me, please, I insist.

So here is your time hiding away from society, to stop being quiet.
Now is your time to break the silence.
