Hey! I'm here with good news for our Eye3DS users.
We're coming back!
With current plans, we'll be hosted on this very server, that of DSiPaint, 3DSPaint, (the soon to exist) GamePadPaint, and WiiOperaSDK. Thanks to HullBreach, who I have been talking to, we should have a reliable host under these plans. But one thing to note: we'll have ads.
Danny says that bandwidth charges vary depending on usage, so he charges $4.00/month for hosting.
As you probably know, we have a $0.00 budget. So that is why we will have ads. These ads will be the same ones you see on DSi/3DSPaint. The money will go straight to Danny/HullBreach. We asked if he'd give us some of the overflow revenue (that is, the remaining revenue after the $4.00/month hosting costs), so then we might be able to do stuff like buy a domain, etc.
Eye3DS will be hosted on DSiPaint's servers for a trial period, and will begin once our site is ready, ads & all. We also have plans for new additions. Since we have no backups available for the old Eye3DS, we're restarting from scratch. Since you're probably going to be too lazy to register again, we plan to use DSiPaint accounts to login. Banning will probably be synchronised. Banned on Paint, banned on Eye. Banned on Eye, banned on Paint. Simple. Permas will probably also link. Note a perma on Paint will be an auto-perma on Eye3DS, and not the other way around with current ideas, but if you're perma'd on Eye's side, we want to send the details etc. to request a perma on Paint. This will probably be reviewed by a terminator on Paint.
So all looks rosy.
