Now, this is some truly interesting news. I came across this tidbit of info yesterday, and I decided to write about it because a lot of people are very interested in the game it is teasing at. A little, Japan-only title we know as "Bravely Default: Flying Fairy"
See, The domains AlltheBravest.com and AlltheBravest.net were registerd by Square Enix a few days ago, and a European Community Trademark was also filed, number 011386349 if you want to check it out. And just so you know, both websites are currently empty, so don't go looking for information there. Now, perhaps I am being overly hopeful, but if anything, "All the Bravest" seems like a hint at a possible localization for Bravely Default. Of course, it could very easily be a new IP as well, or even something not even game related, but my theory is that we have a localization effort going on here.
It is also interesting that while there is a European trademark, there is absolutely nothing in the books here in America. I hope Square Enix isn't doing what Nintendo did with The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Pandoras Tower, initially only releasing them in Europe.(By the way, Those first two titles were eventually released in the US, but Pandoras Tower was not) At this point, all we can do is sit, wait, and pray!
In other news, Nintendo has confirmed a new Nintendo Direct for North America, which will premiere tomorrow, December 5th, at 9 AM Pacific Standard Time. It will be about upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles, but Nintendo hasn't confirmed any other details. There will be a similar broadcast in Europe at 5 PM. There is no Japanese counterpart for either, so we might receive information on titles already released there, such as Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.
That's all for today! What Japanese titles do you want to be localized the most? Sound off in the comments below, and keep on gaming!
WiiU is pretty meh. I played it. It was okay, but hard to have two screens at once in generally far away areas (unlike the 3DS or DSi). Long story short, I sold it to a friend for ten bucks cheaper than I bought it.
