What's up, SDK forums, Journey here. Hot on the heels of last weeks Nintendo Direct broadcast is another update for you guys! And what better way to start you week off then with a Nintendo Update? Read on for more!
3DS:
1. Release Dates!
Unfortunately, some of the upcoming titles for the Nintendo 3DS have been delayed. As much as this sucks, it's probably for the best. I'd rather have a great game then an average game, wouldn't you?
The first title is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow- Mirror of Fate, which has been pushed back to March 5, 2013. A 3D platformer with heavy emphasis on exploration, Mirror of Fate should make Metroid fans feel right at home. Keep an eye out for this one!
The second game that's been delayed is Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed. The Wii U version has already been released, but the 3DS port has been moved to February 2013. I'm not too excited about this one; it looks like a Mariokart 7 clone, dressed up with sega aesthetics. I hope I'm proved wrong here!
2. eShop
Remember Bit.Trip? You know, the series of six rhythm games originally released on WiiWare? The ones rereleased last year in a convenient package for the 3DS, a title called Bit.Trip Saga? Well, Bit.Trip Saga is set for a rerelease, but on the Nintendo eShop, and for a reasonable fee of only 15 dollars. That's more than half as cheap as the cartridge copy of the game, for those challenged in math. I'd check the Bit. Trip Saga out in one way or another, if you haven't done so already.
3. Price Drop Alert!
...but only for a limited time, and only at Best Buy. The electronics super-hub is offering a killer deal—The 3DS itself will be lowered to a price of $129.99, while the 3DS XL will cost $159.99. You’ll also save $20 when you purchase any two of these 3DS titles:
Paper Mario Sticker Star
Super Mario 3D Land
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Style Savvy Trendsetters
Mario Kart 7
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
For stragglers who don’t have these games, or the console itself, this might be a good chance to make a couple of purchases. But it's only available from December 9th through 15th, so if you're one if those aforementioned stragglers, you better hurry!
That's all for now! Expect more news later this week! Until then, keep on gaming!
