Hello, my friends. A lot of my friends at school are having trouble with the 3DS game Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy. They found my tips pretty helpful, so I decided to write a blog on it. This could influence how people play other rhythm games, too. If I get good reviews, I might do one on Kid Icarus: Uprising and Goldeneye 007. So, on with the blog!
General:
-The #1, Golden, must-follow rule. Do not panic. If you panic and start randomly tapping, and sliding, you will die. No questions.
-If you find youself at a part where the music is fast and the moves are complicated, stay calm and hit as many as you can.
-Do not skip notes! If you're at a hard part, do not just put down your stylus and cry until the part is over. You will die before it's over. Missed notes give you more damage than bad notes. If you attempt at a note, you'll get at least a bad.
-Rythmia Grinding. You get a new song every 5000 Rythmia, which is something to be excited for, right? How do you get so much Rythmia, you say? I'll walk you through it. Dark Notes will gain you lots of Rythmia, but if you're not ready for the Chaos Shrine just yet, do not fear! Use series mode on the highest difficulty you can muster, and hit those opening and ending scene notes!
Challenge Mode:
-First of all, if you get an A rank or above on an expert song, you unlock the Ultimate Score.
-The Ultimate Score is basically Expert Mode on Guitar Hero. Except 20 times faster. And better music. And harder notes.
-How do I become good enough to play an Ultimate Score, you say? Do not just keep playing the Ultimate Score hundreds of times until you barely make it. Then, playing a different song on Ultimate will be even harder. All will be explained in the next category, my friend.
-Try practicing your reflexes with Challenge Mode. It'll train your senses, I assure you. If you have Kid Icarus: Uprising, use the stand that comes with it, because Theatrhythm does not use one single button except for the start button.
-You know that zone? In gaming, where you're so immersed in the game that nothing else matters? There is a way to get into said zone. Play your favorite or your most challenging songs 2 or 3 times before you get serious. You'll be in that zone. I promise.
Chaos Shrine:
-In the Chaos Shrine, there are these really bad notes, like anything by Justin Beiber, that must be vanquished by your Buster Stylus and your oh-so-typical generic team of Cloud, Warrior of Light, Lightning, and Squall. These dark notes consist of a Battle Music Stage, and a Field Music Stage.
-The Field Music Stages are first, and easy. Until you get to your 50th Dark Note. Then your songs hit puberty and they get so hard, your hand falls off. Sometimes, the notes spin around, and you have to guess which direction they'll land in and slide there. Those notes make getting a Chocobo so hard. Also, if you're really good at the Field Song, a magic sign will appear that says: Boss 2 or Boss 3, pointing to the left. Thjs means the boss in the next stage will be harder to beat.
-Battle Music! Battle music is relatively hard, and even harder when you get to your 50th. Early on in the stage, if you get enough points, you get a chime, and the screen will say: Boss no. 3. I commend you, my friend. You've made it to the hardest boss, have fun.
-Remember when I said not to keep playing the same Ultimate Score? Yeah. You don't need practice. If you just keep killong Dark Notes until your 70th one, Ultimate Scores will be relatively medium-leveled in your perspective.
