As many of you may have noticed, my visits here on SDK have been few & far between. I'm writing this to tell you all that I have NOT lost interest, & to tell you why I haven't been on so much.

Some of you might remember a few Fridays ago, I said that my aunt & 2 cousins were stabbed. They live in Colonial Heights Virginia. My aunt almost died, the Dr said if the knife had been another inch sideways, she would have bled out. My cousin, Amanda also got it in the throat...but not quite as bad. My cousin Travis, he got the worst of it. He was stabbed 13 times. The guy, my cousin Amanda's ex boyfriend, & her youngest daughters father...he got my cousin Travis's arm so bad that only bone was holding his arm on. His throat was cut form his left ear to his chin. The Drs said he should not have lived, but he did. My cousin Travis's 4 year old daughter...she saw the ENTIRE attack, she was playing games on the computer when it happened. Needless to say, My aunt & my cousin Travis want to move out of Virginia & back up here to New York.

The reason I'm telling you this is because it's the entire reason as to why I've been so very absent on this site. Although I live in a different state, I'm trying to be there for my family as much as possible. As support after their ordeal, understanding that they want to come back up here (Amanda is stuck in Virginia because of her older daughter), & just being there as a sounding board. They're family....& I want to be there for them. Mystique is only 4, she should not have seen any of this, but she saw it ALL...she'll need counsiling for a LOOONG time. My aunt, she's having nightmares & some of what she tells me about what she's going through...it reminds me of what a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder patient goes through. Of course, I'm worried. Colonial Heights is actually a quiet, close-knit community, so of course, when this happened, it was ALL over the news.

I will be coming on here still as much as I can. Probably not as often as I used to, at least not for a long time, until things die down & are calm again.
