...It's 2012. Glasses-free 3D screens may have been invented but life isn't Back to the Future or Ghost in the Shell. Giving up on this idea, Josh decides to save his work and close the DSi browser. He decides to get an hour of sleep, then code more afterwards. On the DSi menu, he selects Mario Clock. Josh plays the little Super Maio Bros. minigame for a bit, as he always does when he starts Mario Clock. He sometimes starts it just for the minigame. Now, he selects the Alarms tab. He selects Alarm 2. He sets the alarm to ring in one hour from now, which is 3:04AM. He then chooses the Starman theme as the alarm sound. He enables the alarm, on half volume, closes and slips his DSi under his pillow, and goes to sleep. One hour later, at 3:04AM, the alarm rings. Do-do-do--do-do-do-dodododo--do-do-do--do-do-do-dodododo. Josh doesn't flinch. Oh no. Footsteps downstairs. The cling of the baby-gate. The creak of Josh's door. Who is it? Josh's mum again. Would she hear the alarm and confiscate Josh's DSi for using it at night? Luckily, the alarm stopped. When? Just before the gate opened. It was not audible from that distance. Phew. Josh had no trouble pretending to be asleep here. He was asleep. Good thing he hadn't set his alarm to repeat, either. His mum stayed for about a minute and a quarter. Close call, but it's fine. In the morning, at about 09:45AM, Josh wakes up. CBeebies is on the TV. Sophie and his baby brother Ethan are in the front room, which you enter as soon as you walk through Josh's door. His room, along with Sophie's, was originally part of the front room. A partition was put up to seperate the three areas. Sophie's room leads to the staircase upstairs. That is why there is a baby-gate there....
