Izen arrived at the palace and was thrown down to the ground. The soldiers split up and the lead soldier remained with Izen.
"Get up on your feet. We need to walk the rest of the way to Lord Viran and he doesn't like it if you're not in good standards with him."
After standing up, Izen ended up pushed forward by the nuzzle of a gun. It was a straight shot to Lord Viran. After going through a few sets of large doors and long hallways, they finally arrived at the entrance of the Lord's chamber.
"Evalese! I said I wanted almonds, not pecans! Were you trying to disobey me?"
Lord Viran appeared to be in a mad mood. A petite female voice responded back.
"Sorry, sir. I didn't know."
"You didn't know?! I was clear when I told you! Almonds are used as battle tokens, pecans are not! They are tainted, unclean to be pieces of war."
"I figured that--"
"You figured? Who do you think I am? Am I not one of the most influential men in Japan?"
"I-I'm sorry. Please, I beg of you, give mercy."
"It's far from that, my dear. Guards! Take her away and execute her."
"No! No! You can't do this."
"Ah, but I will."
The lady looked back at Izen as she was turned and escorted away. Lord Viran noticed Izen and signaled him in.
"Come here."
The lead soldier followed Izen up until he was dismissed. Lord Viran analyzed Izen from head to toe and shook his head.
"You are not one of my people. You lack any sign of illness, pain, or hunger for food. Who are you?"
"Izen."
"Ah...Izen. What an outlandish name. Why are you here?"
"I could ask you the same thing. Your dumbass soldier brought me here."
"You mean Brandt? Well, you must of done something wrong."
"You obviously know this already."
Lord Viran waved his hand through the air.
"Of course. You're in my domain, my territory, my own slice of bread."
"Then you know why I'm here. Why would you starve so many of your people when you get your power from them?"
"It's simple actually..."
