Izen found a dirt path that led him back down to the town. The residents watched him as he arrived. A familar man approached him and looked at him.
"You were let go?"
"No. I found out the Lord's intentions and killed him."
"No really?"
"Yes. You are free to get your money."
The man smiled and gracefully shook Izen's hand.
"'Thank you, thank you. You don't know how much this means to us."
The man turned to the crowd and yelled at the top of his lungs.
"We have been given grace from our god, Altemi. He has delivered us this man and he has freed us of Lord Viran!"
All the townspeople cheered and crowded among Izen. He ignored the cheers and looked around for an opaque sign leading to the cantina. Once everyone stopped and dispersed, Izen noticed the Miyamoto Cantina sign and entered the building. A few people were in the cantina. Some were sitting at tables and drinking while others were sprawled on the floor, drunk.
The Cantina was not a very pleasant place but it was the town's only refreshment center. Izen walked over to a counter where the bartender was cleaning a mug with a rag.
"Do you know where I can find a guy by the name of Don Chaka?"
"Ah, he's a regular here. Check in that far corner."
The bartender pointed to a far table and continued cleaning. Izen threw down a few coins and walked off. A man was sitting at the table, drinking from a mug.
"Are you Don?"
"Who's asking?"
"I am."
"Well then, yes. I'm Don. What can I do for you?"
"I read up on your records and I want you to join me. I'm creating a group of the best soldiers."
"You did? I thought they deleted my credentials. Well, I'm not a soldier anymore.
"So I take that as a no?"
"Not quite. What's the reason for this 'group'?"
"Its intended to be a militia to make up for Kiyokyu."
Don put his mug down on the table and closed his eyes.
"I guess it couldn't hurt. I need the exercise anyway."
"Good. Take this ear piece. This will help you keep in touch with me.
