Izen woke up early the next morning and found his phone lying on the bedside, glowing. He slowy sat up, yawning and brushing his hand through his hair. The curtains were off to the side of the window allowing light to permeate into the room. Birds chirped from outside the window. Izen tossed his legs over the edge of the bed and planted them on the ground. He stood up, grabbed his Nanospec, and left the inn. People were moving all about.
A few citizens looked over at Izen and gave off a very bright smile. The town was gaining its life back. Izen walked down the road leading outside the town and stopped at a dirt path heading in the direction of Python Pass. Looking up at the sky, Izen noticed a flock of birds flying through the sky. Once they passed over, he continued in the same direction he had gone before.
The mech sat by the Python sign in its original spot. He stopped in front of it, opened it, and climbed in. His ear piece chimed by the time he got situated.
"Sir, a man by the name of Don wants to talk to you. Should I patch him through?"
"Accept it. He's an ally."
"Will do. Give me a moment."
Don clicked in after a few seconds.
"Hey. I just wanted to say good luck. It's hard finding good soldiers now-a-days."
"Thank you Don."
"No problem. By the way, have you heard of a man named Ace McPhee?"
"Not that I know of. Why?"
"Well, it happens this man walked into the cantina last night rambling on about how you have a bounty on your head. I tried to convince him otherwise but he may as well been drunk. That drunken bastard! Anyway, I felt like telling you this."
"Thanks for the heads up."
"Just keep them security agents off you."
"Will do. You need anything else?"
"Now that I think about it, yes. The name Anonymous was brought up. Do you know anything about it? I sure as hell don't."
"Anonymous? You're not joking, are you?"
"No, I'm not. It seems you know it?"
