Hello fellow gamers! It's time for today's Nintendo Update! We've got release dates, new games, and pre-order news inside. But first...
Do yourself a favor and go read Waffle King's latest. I assure you that it will make many of you very, very happy. I pretty much almost cried when I read the fantastic news.
OHMAGAWDOHMYGAWDOHMYGAWD!
Besides what Waffle King mentioned, there really isn't alot of other news regarding "republishing the Mother franchise". But keep your eyes peeled! In the meantime, some other news!
Do you remember way back when that new Pokemon title was announced for the 3DS? Well acoording to a press release by Nintendo earlier today, gamers here in North America will be able to pick up Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity on March 24th, 2013. It's billed to offer more than twenty unique dungeons while letting you play as Pikachu, Snivy, Oshawott, and more. You can also use the 3DS Camera to scan certain objects and unlock secret dungeons. Nintendo has promised some sort of wireless functionality as well, and promised that more details will be coming in the future.
"Pika-chu!"
For those of you who like more intense games, Atlus has confirmed that they will be localizing Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers for North America. Note that this isn't a brand new game; it was actually released on the Sega Saturn and Playstation over 10 years ago. This enhanced version will have updated graphics, fully animated battles, and more. If you haven't played a Megami Tensei game before, do yourself a favor and keep an eye on this one. It'll be heading stateside sometime this spring.
Hope you aren't afraid of bugs!
If you are planning on purchasing Fire Emblem: Awakening when it is released early next year (which you really, really should), you might want to pre-order it from Gamestop. Those who do so will be treated with a goregous, limited-edition character art booklet, along with the right to flaunt said booklet as much as desired. This is one of the many reasons I prefer buying games from a retailer as opposed to digitally!
Sexy. So, so sexy.
That's all for today! What are you hoping will come out of this new Mother/Earthbound revival? Let us know in the comments below! Have a great holiday season, and until next time, keep on gaming!
I have been a fan of the mystery dungeon series for like 8 years so this new is freaking huge to me I heard about this awhile ago.
