The bill was signed! Obama signed the bill, Recalcitrant Cancer Research Act, today, January 3, 2013.
The bill he signed requires the national cancer institute to develop a plan for all deadly cancers, such as brain, pancreas, skin, etc. This is great news! Obama did good. I know this isn't very long, but it's a bill that will effect many people who may be battling a deadly cancer.

No, it's not tax money. It's donation money. They get the money from relays. Two that I know of which are also the biggest relas are Relay For Life and Purple Stride. Just donation money, not tax.

Its not that breast cancer is the easiest to cure its that of the types of breast cancers i think one or two of them have cures. At least the type caused by the BRCA1 gene, but i dont really remember. My professor said it in a passive comment last summer during one of his lectures.

The current businesses do but I think the idea is to create grants for new businesses to encourage more research.

And the point of this is...? Pointless bills be pointless? It is against the law now to not find a cure for cancer! Death sentence to those who fail to find a cure. It's the law.

OMGYES. Obama signed a bill telling the cancer researchers to find a cure for cancer. Now maybe finally he'll sign a bill telling McDonald's to give me my damn McNuggets.

I have no idea, a ton of people called in to try to get him to sign it, some of those people being my mom and people whose loved ones died from one of the cancers, and I guess enough called and a bill was made, but that's just a guess. Why does the government feel the need to legislate what is obvious to anyone in the healthcare industry? I'm guessing the bill was written by lobbyists for financial kick-backs.
