The iOS app has been coming along nicely. In fact, I've been voting on polls and commenting on blogs through it today! I have a couple more features to add to it tonight before closing off new development and focusing on display tweaks for an App Store submission tomorrow night.
Here is what will be in it: 1. Blog viewing
2. Blog commenting
3. Message viewing
4. Message writing/replying
5. Message deleting (inside message and on inbox/outbox)
6. Poll viewing (pre- and post-vote)
7. Poll voting
8. Local notifications (same ones as website homepages)
9. Display settings (# of messages, blogs, polls)
10. An "About" screen for new members
I was planning on adding chatrooms and the bulletin board, but I've cut these features for the moment. At this point, I would like to just have the first version of the app out there to get some feedback before proceeding.
After this first release, new versions will come about once per month. The first release is free with iAds, but an ad-free $0.99 one will come in the next few months.
Once the app is ready tomorrow, I will provide the final screenshots.
And just to make this clear once again (because the first several times seem to have been ignored): I will NOT be making an Android version. I do not support Google or its products if at all possible after they screwed me over for a large sum of money several years ago. I will be releasing the JSON API that I am developing for the iOS app so that someone else can make an Android app, though. Please contact me if you are interested, and I will provide what you need for free.
The app is ready tomorrow, April 1st, April Fools Day, and for one of the update blogs all the images were of Eduard Khil (Mr. Trolololo).
I'm on to you, Hullbreach!
I am currently learning how to use the android SDK and would be willing to make the android version of the app. However, if someone with more experience wants to do it, give it to them. As I got the android SDK just last week.
