Hello, everyone. Have you ever wondered about that section of this site called Affiliate Links? I asked around, and apparently most users don't trust those links. The general consensus was that most of those sites are poorly made and not worth the look, but I'd like to prove that idea wrong. By the end of this, I'm sure at least a few of you will be raring to go take a shot at some of these sites.
To be a little more clear, I took a look at most of the affiliate sites formatted for the 3DS a few days ago and felt like sharing some of what I saw. This isn't an actual review of these sites or anything like that. These are just some notes of my experience on them was like. Let's hope it goes well.
3DSHome
While I'm sure opinion would vary widely from person to person, I feel the name of this site is very fitting; everything about it reminded me of home. I think I should mention though that I grew up alone in a box, and that experience may not be what everyone went through as a child. I wouldn't know though.
Any time you move to a different page you have to re-enter the site, much like any time I moved in my little box I fell out and had to climb back in. So if that appeals to you then this is the site for you.
3DSLobby
I left after reading a message on the help desk about getting money for touching someone.
3DSExtreme
There's not much on this site, but it's fun to move around the main page while you're dragged back to the middle of the page. Incidentally, the big dark red letters on the main page reminded me of a bathroom stall I once saw at a truck stop. There were big blood red letters there too, but they were etched into the wall and the only discernible letters read "ELP!"
3DS-4-All
Before checking anything out, I was scared off by some scary pictures of something called Simon. I think it was a bridge troll.
3DSPlay
Part of why I decided to only look at the blogs section was because of how interesting they seemed. There were also no links back to the main page.
There were four:
- The first was a guy talking about trunks, or briefs, or something like that, the second was some guy trying to remember his URL, the third was someone talking about how he was the only one online all the time, and the last consisted of only "pooopooppooop". So, that seemed fun.
3D SAR7
I'm not sure if this site was called 3D SAR7 or 3D SARS. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a message on tne first page from the 100th user, "Screw iOS, Android FTW!". Aside from a sign to not steal and another message from the site owner happily saying that he just stole something, there wasn't much to look at.
3DSBubble
I couldn't look around much since I was banned immediately for breaking the site rule to not mention My Little Pony; I asked if Twilight Sparkle is what it's called when you fart glitter at midnight.
3DSChill
For this site I went to a link titled Help right away because of how much it looked like they needed it, but I gave up after, in the words of whoever made the site, I scrooled all da way down and pressed dat symbol that looked a bit like a crying robot. It only took me to a page that read "Create your own WAP site!"
3DSFun
The link to this site didn't work, but it was fun to click on it and hear the loading noise for a second.
3DS Megusta
A lot like 3DS Fun.
3DSPlaza
This site seemed much better than all the others so far, but I stopped right there because what's the fun of looking at a site that works just fine? There are a million just like it, and I think all the little quirks and oddities of sites like the previous ones add to a site's unique experience.
3DSSpace
There was only a message saying the site would be hacked by GOHAN and CAKE.
I did register though and fill out my profile. I found it odd that you could select "drunk", "flirty", and a somewhat vulgar synonym for angry that rhymes with missed as moods, and that they were separate especially when you consider how often any two of them seem to coincide when it comes to the online community.
Eye3DS
There were pictures which I suspect were meant to take you to different parts of the site, but none worked. On the bright side, I thought it was fun to look at them.
FryDS
Apparently abandoned, I ended up only look at the site's suggestions section. I can't tell you about the most eye-catching ones due to this being a family site, but I will say they seemed to be the most well written of all the suggestions despite some being vividly detailed ideas of where to shove the site.
Joshi3DS
On the main page there was a large ad I couldn't close, and that's about all there was on the site.
That's all I've managed to check so far on the affiliates. As a final note I'll say that while on most of the sites there was an online list that said only one person was online, a few did have twice that amount.
I love your review, gotta check out the sites, they sound amazing and wonderful. We should thank the makers of those sites for their long and hard work. Also, give them cookies.
