As the final words slip from your lips,
You seal love's fate with a fatal kiss.
It's like a stab to her pure and gentle heart.
Everything in her little world is falling apart.

She screams as loud as she can in pain.
You tell her to hush and let you explain.
Tears streak her perfect, angelic face.
She feels as if my heart is being crushed at a very slow pace.

She tries to turn and walk away,
But you plead for her to stay.
She can't face you anymore,
So you tell her things that she had mistaken, things you had said before.

Her body turns cold and solid like a rock;
She couldn't move, she was in shock.
Finally as she lets it sink in,
And time begins to move again.

By the time she snaps back into reality, you are gone.
She sinks to her knees and sobs; she does this until the crack of dawn.
Thoughts of your last words pass through her thoughts,
Her stomach feels likes it's being tied into several painful knots.

She picks herself up, ready to go home,
She walked there with you and this time she will be walking alone.
By the time she reaches her house it is almost noon,
It took her so long because she was wondering if your past feelings for her were true.

When she goes to bed that night all she can do...
All she can do is think about you.
She tosses and turns, she can't get any sleep
Because every time she looks over, she sees the place where you should be.

By the time she can finally close her eyes an drift into a slumber,
She remembers the times before this summer.
She thinks about the promise of 'forever and always',
But she realizes those were just waisted days.

She has memories of the times before arguments.
Most of them didn't make any sense.
A deep pain that had set into her heart,
She was hoping for a new beginning with you, for a new start.

Now that time will never be seen,
It was just a distant dream.
She falls deeper and deeper into sleep's trance,
Wondering if love will ever give her another chance...

The last thought that passes through her head is what he said:
