Hey there. As you may know, JSAmap (renamed to JSiVi Maps and now nintrigue maps) caused quite a stir when it launched in November. And as you may not have noticed, I've been gone for about a month. So to quickly clear that up, I'm living in a static caravan with absolutely no internet. Happy? Now, nintrigue maps.I've improved the performance drastically, lowering RAM usage and speeding it up. Another new feature is the option to use Google Maps instead of OpenStreetMap. You can also overlay Google Maps over OpenStreetMap if you like. Simply tap the layers icon, and choose a base map (OpenStreetMap [the default, standard N.M. map], Google Street [as you see on Google Maps], or Google Satellite [just satellite imagery, no labels]) and then optionally choose an overlay map (there's only Google Labels at the moment, which is the map part of Google Maps Hybrid view, but you can overlay it on Google Street [but why would you], OSM or Google Satellite). One of the performance tricks is removing invisible (off-screen) map tiles from RAM, and only loading new tiles after panning (moving the map). Driving directions are coming soon. I hope you like it. Also, some news on nintrigue (formerly JSiVi). I've moved hosts, and created a brand-new, modern, single-column style, so no more everything-has-to-fit-within-two-screens nonsense (but some functions are dual-screen because it makes sense). I'm rewriting the code base, and I'm going to fix many of the bugs that were in JSiVi. I'm also taking feature requests, along with ideas, and for other DSi site developers out there, developer applications.
So, cya la— WAIT. I forgot something. Now what was it? Ah! The link! http://jsa005.host-ed.ne/ntrg/map. Yes, I'll get a domain soon. I'm out of room, so cya later!
