(Part 1) The sun was low in the Autumn sky. Signalling it's departure. A teenage girl with long dirty blonde hair sat in her room, reading her new book she got for her birthday titled 'Supernatural'. Melanie sighed as she sat on her bed still dressed in her black boots, dark blue jeans, and white short sleeved shirt, her green eyes staring out the window of her room to the darkening sky. Once again, her friends were out partying for yet another Halloween. Why didn't she join them? Her mom would need only some persuasion to let her go with her friends to the party, so why didn't she ask? Because, she wasn't that kind of girl. Sure she thought about boys and went to school. She was practically normal. She just rather be inside reading a good horror story or watching a scary movie. Why waste her time around a bunch of hormonal teenagers when she could be enjoying the spooky feeling of Halloween right at home. Besides, it's was safer.
The previous Halloween had consisted of three girls going missing. Among them was one of her friends. Her name was Gretelle, she was Melanie's best friend. She was smart enough not to get in some stranger's car or go into a dark alley. Melanie tried to think of anything that would send up red flags. Anything, about Gretelle that would cause her to do anything unintelligent. Nothing. Gretelle always stayed in well lit areas, never took an offered ride, or stayed out too late. So what happened? The only thing that Melanie thought was odd about her friend was her irrational love of romantic movies and the color pink. Other then that? Nothing. Oh, and her obsession with vampires. Ever sense she watched that infernal movie, she was raving about vampires nonstop.
"Sparkling vampires?" Melanie questioned. Gretelle smiled as she read the book the movie was based on. "Yeah, it's so romantic and mysterious." Gretelle responded."Here read this." She pointed to a paragraph and handed Melanie the book. Melanie shrugged and gave the book a try. You know what they say. Don't judge a book by it's cover. A few moments later she looked at Gretelle. "Well,"Gretelle said with a curiousity sparkling in her eyes."what do you think?" Melanie gave the book back and smiled. "You've got to be kidding." she laughed. Gretelle gave her a confused look. "That story, I can't even describe." she said trying to find the right words to call it. "What do you mean?" Gretelle asked, still confused. Melanie took a bite of her barbecue sandwhich and shook her head. "A vampire that doesn't turn to ashes in the sun and has a serious case of pedobearism? This girl is oblivious to the fact that she's practically Chick Nuggets with a side of fries." Melanie said. She grabbed two of her fries and stuck them in her mouth, imitating fangs before saying "Yesh, I'd like to placsh an order for one large diet blood-cola, medium friesh, and Chick Nuggets. Can I get extra ketchup with that?" Gretelle gave her an angry glare. Melanie responded with a goofy smile which resulted in Gretelle stealing some of her fries. "Hey!" Melanie said, reaching to grab some of Gretelle's salad. But, she withdrew her hand away from the leafy meal. Yes, it was a vegetable just like french fries just, different. Melanie pouted angrily and looked at Gretelle who just poked her tongue out. Oh, what an insult. Melanie rolled her eyes and drank her soda. "Vampires don't sparkle." she thought "They burn."
Melanie wiped her eyes. She sat up and set her book down and turned on the tv. 'The Attack of the Zombie Vampire Apes from Space.' played on the screen. Sure it was a b-horror movie, but it could still give someone the heebie-jeebies. She walked to the light-switch and flicked it off. She crawled onto her bed and grabbed her stuffed wolf toy. After the first twenty minutes, she was getting bored, fast. She swiped the remote off her side table and clicked the guide button. After many nights of straining her eyes to read the buttons, she memorized each one so she didn't have to squint or turn on a light no longer. She flipped through the channels. Suddenly, a movie caught her eyes. 'The Labyrinth'. It had barely begun. She quickly selected it and tossed the remote to the edge of the bed. She cuddled her wolf toy and smiled. She loved this movie. "I wish the Goblin King would take you away...." said the heroin of the movie before the volume faded away? "Gah! What!? Not now!" Melanie yelped, looking frantically for the remote. She looked to the foot of the bed to find it on the floor. She quickly picked it up and returned the volume to it's original setting. She sighed and sat the remote on the top of the tv, moving to the head of the bed, sitting with her legs crossed. She blushed and hugged her toy wolf as the 'villian' of the movie made his appearance. She smiled and sighed. She loved his rockstar look. Elegant and fancy, but full of energy and excitement. He was like a cross mixture of a rockstar and a prince. She found him as the ideal guy.
Eh. whatevs. I tried putting paragraphs but It didn't work well. All I care is if the story is interesting. If I wrote this with a pen and paper you would see the paragraphs. But, oh well. I wrote this to entertain, not to empress.
I denied this because it is one huge run on paragraph, if you can break it up into normal pacing and paragraphs, I might reconsider and accept all three, but without breaks and stops and just one gigantic long paragraph its just not kosher.
