"...Neo! Are you hearing this?" says a slightly angry voice.

"Huh?" Neo the RED Demoman is jolted out of her thoughts by the RED Heavy, Fablotic. "Yes... I'm listening."

"Then what is your role?"

"Which one- Running like a Scout to the BLU intel and back or keeping them off of ours?"

The Heavy rolls her eyes, "You weren't paying attention. You're on defensive duty- starting now!"

<Round begins in 60 seconds.>

The RED team members race off in different directions from the Respawn. Neo grabs her Launcher and Caber and runs down to the RED Intelligence Room. Once there, she sets up her basic defenses. Stickies on the inside of the doorway, where it would be too late before they noticed.

<Round begins in 30 seconds.>

"Sentry up!" calls Tom the RED Engineer from a distance, then the sound of someone running. Put some grenades under the desk to scare them off if they get too close...

<10 seconds.>

Double-check everything...

The gunfire starts up not a moment too soon. Sounds like a good fight so far... Neo wished she got a position on the field instead of guarding the briefcase. Tom did it far better that she did with all his little sentries. Patience was crucial in these situations, and patience was something she had very little of. A BLU could come down at any moment, targeting the briefcase... She hoped it was BLU Scout.

Soon, boredom overcomes her and she fiddles with her wire-stripping knife she kept in her explosives box. The gunfire was a bit more scattered, and every once in a while, someone would cry "MEDIC!"

Footsteps. Neo's ears prick up and she sheaths her knife, picking up her detonator in one hand, her Caber in the other. A BLU comes through the doorway and she hits the detonator, throwing him successfully across the room and into the wall. It was the BLU Spy, Felix, and he was a bit stunned by the force of the explosion.

"Where's your buddy Scout now?" she says as she slowly comes toward him with her Caber ready to strike. The Spy realizes he's in danger, so he scrambles to his feet and slowly backs away from her.

Neo grins, baring her fangs. Then Felix gains enough ground to make a quick dash for the desk. She whirls around and detonates the grenades under the desk, knocking him away. When he gets to his feet, he cloaks. The Demoman snarls in annoyance, but she moves around the room quickly, making the backstab impossible to perform. That's when he decloaks near the desk, surprising Neo enough to snag the briefcase and start to run for the entrance. She growls and chases him.
Soon, she loses him around a corner, but she continues to run for the entrance in hopes of getting there before the BLU did.

There was a beep and the whirr of a turret. Gunfire and a pained scream followed.

Neo drops the Caber she was holding and runs to the place where she heard it. The Spy lay on the floor in front of the turret. The turret had shot him in the stomach and there was already quite a lot of blood on the floor.

Out of all the things she could have done, she picked the worst one. Neo deactivates the turret and hoists Felix up, "You're going t' get out of this alive..."

She half-carries him, half-supports him as they make their way to one of the back rooms in the RED fort.

"W...why are you doing this...?"

They find an empty backroom and Neo lowers him against the wall, "'Cause I can't stand anyone bleedin' t' death in front of me." She looks around. "Stay here- I'm going to get medical supplies." The Demoman runs off.

<Round ends in 5 minutes!>

Five? Already? She would have to work fast. First, she replaces the briefcase in the Intelligence room, then she replaces the bombs and sets them to BLU motion detection. Then it was off to the Respawn to find some medical supplies for Felix.

<Round ends in 3 minutes.>

Oh no. She gets there and rummages through the storage containers. All she came up with that she had the knowledge to use was a Medipack. It would do.

<Round ends in 2 minutes.>

Oh God- There's no way that she could get the Spy fixed up and back to the BLU side without being found. Neo runs back to the room with the Medipack.

<Round ends in 60 seconds.>

Can't get him out. He's going to have to stay. She opens the door. Felix is on the brink of consciousness. She opens the Medipack and bandages him up.

0 seconds.>

He regains consciousness, "I... need to... get back... to the... team..."

"Not with that kind of injury."

<15 seconds.>

"You... can't keep... me here..."

"You're going to have t' stay until I can find a way t' get you out without being found!"

"... I... You don't... understand..."

"You're staying here until you can get around by yourself!"

Neo finishes bandaging him.

<BOTH TEAMS FAILED TO CAPTURE THE INTELLIGENCE!>

"You're staying here for now. There's no way you can go back in your state anyways."

Felix frowns, "I guess... you have a point..."

Footsteps and raised voices come down the hall. "I have to go." Neo gets up and leaves the room. Taking out her knife, she etches a small symbol above the handle so she wouldn't forget where he was. She then runs down a shortcut to the RED Intel room.
She got there ahead of the rest of the team and she started to take down the bombs.

The RED Sniper comes in, arguing with the RED Scout and Soldier, "I don't see why ya bloody wonkers had to chase down the BLU Soldier when ya could've grabbed the bloody briefcase!"

"It's not my fault- Starfall pulled me along!" protests Jon the Scout.

"MY FAULT? You followed me!" Starfall the Soldier yells at Jon.

They argue for a while until Neo couldn't take it anymore, "Would ya SHUT UP?" she yells at them over their quarrel.

That shut them up, thankfully. The RED Heavy and Engineer come in. Artemis the Sniper comes over, "How was the defendin' mate?"

"Couldn't 'ave been easier. Nobody came down until 10 minutes remaining." The Demoman replies.

"Who was it?"

"Scout again. I beat 'em off."

Tom looks confused, "Does anyone know why my sentry was offline?"

Neo shrugs and goes back to taking down her stickies. The others didn't know either.

"When I get my hands on that damned Spy..." he grumbles as he stalks off.

"Battle tomorrow. We won't lose then." says Fablotic. Then the RED Spy and Pyro ran in.

"The BLUs are standing around outside, and they don't look happy." says Frice the Spy.

"About what- losing? We all are." says Starfall.

"It might be something else... Plus, I haven't seen the BLU Spy rejoin their ranks." says the Pyro.

"Should we do a Spy check?" asks Jon.

"Not now..." groans Artemis.

Neo finishes putting up her bombs. Now she was worried. They might find Felix... And where was the RED Medic?

"Let me go look around." The Demoman says as she runs off down the hall.
