(I am not encouraging Jailbreaking. I am simply telling you the possibilities.)
Usually when I tell someone I have a jailbreak, they look at me like I'm some kind of stealing cheapskate.
Well, I'm here to explain why us Jailbroken Iphone user's aren't the devils of the Apple community.
-------What is a Jailbreak?------
It's a tool you can download onto your computer. It removes many restrictions, and allows you to install a few unofficial apps... If you manage to do it right, as the process is incredibly complex.
That's about all the Jailbreak itself does, but there's one homemade app that makes this entire convoluted process worthy of your time.
------------Cydia-------------
Cydia is that homemade app.
It is extremely useful due to the fact that it allows you to install a huge amount of tweaks and other homemade apps.
Yes, yes... It can install piracy apps such as PP25 that host download links for apps you usually would have to pay for from the App Store and tweaks such as IAP cracker that lets you buy ingame purchases for free by tricking the purchase system, an example is 200,000 coins for 100$ US would give you the 200,000 coins but not charge your credit card.
--------The light side--------
It sounds terrible so far, but people overlook everything else you can do.
You can change your backround to moving Matrix coding, make your apps do the Harlem shake, fix issues in official Apple apps without waiting for the new iOS update, get a better multi-tasking bar, get games made by the Jailbreakers, etcetera etcetera.
There is thousands upon thousands of these tweaks and fixes, so they are there. People just choose to ignore them.
------------------------------
Well, thanks for reading my blog. I'm no expert writer, but I hope that I made my point across that Jailbreaking has perfectly acceptable tweaks that don't steal or do anything bad in particular.
