It's getting harder for people to support Nintendo because of the new age of gaming. Kids as early as five years old claim their favorite game is call of duty. Now, I see why COD is so popular but Nintendo is better than call of duty. Nintendo is better than call of duty because of the memorable factor. Nintendo games have colorful characters and provide many interesting ideas to gaming. To be fair, I will pick only one series and put up to call of duty. Mario is the most recognized video game character. Tell me if I shown a picture of Shepard to a group of 1000, would everyone guess which game he is from? How about variety? Call of Duty only makes first person shooters. On the other hand, Mario covers rpgs, platforms, and even sports. Let's talk about sequels. Call of Duty's sequels are very similar. While Mario to Mario 2 changed completely, Call of Duty gave us much of the same for 7 games and counting. Yes, they changed story, weapons, and game modes. The gameplay hasn't undergone that much change. Everyone remembers their first time beating Donkey Kong or Browser, but do you recall the time you beat the campaign of Call of Duty. Most COD fans stopped playing the campaign and switched to online play only. Now, remember when you would bring a friend to your house and play two players Mario Kart, you two buddies had a great time and receive bragging rights. On call of duty, people play over the internet, so it destroys the reason to invite a friend to play video games. Also there's less of the feeling of in your face when you play online. Yes, you have microphones, but it's not the same as being there. Also the nature of Mario is better than call of duty. Mario is a carefree game, which some are very competitive. Call of duty is a violent and extremely competitive game. It's whatever you choose.
Yes, I was very bias in this comparison. I would like to hear your side of the argument. Comment and rate!
