Nagito groaned as he slowly opened his eyes, blinded by the light filtering in from the window beside his bed. Squinting, he sat up, putting his right hand to the top of his head. He blinked, then looked over to the window, yawning. From what he could tell, this wasn't his home. He sighed, lowering his arm to the bed so as to push himself up. He immediately fell to the floor when he attempted to get up, and yelped in pain. He struggled to his feet again, leaning on the wall beside him. Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a young boy entered the room, a curious look on his face.

"Komaeda!" the boy shouted, his curious expression becoming one of joy. "You're awake! Thank god!"
Nagito frowned, glaring at the newcomer.

"Who are you?" he asked, a hint of anger in his otherwise monotonous voice. The other boy's eyes widened in shock, and he took a step back.

"K-Komaeda!! Don't you remember me? It's me! Y-your friend! Hinata!" he yelled, his voice breaking ever so slightly. Nagito just shook his head.

"Friend? SHSL Despair Nagito Komaeda does not have friends." Hinata froze, his gaze drifting off of Nagito and down to the ground.

"I-I'm sorry. I was mista--" suddenly, he looked up again, raising a brow. "Did you say... SHSL Despair?"
