The seas around the Islands were harsh during storms. It was a bad idea to even think of sailing them while they were in this state. However, newcomers to the Islands were never warned about this, for tourism would be rare if people feared for their lives each visit.

A young girl clung to a seat inside a boat, not even daring to look up. She could tell that there was a storm coming, but she was too far from home to go back now. She wasn't aware of how close she was to the Islands, so she was quite startled when her boat hit the dock. She sat up as it stopped, looking up at the Island she had arrived on. It was the largest of the group, and seemed to be inhabited by many. She smiled slightly as she climbed out onto the dock, unaware of just what she was getting herself into.

"A new visitor, eh?" a voice spoke up from a few inches away. The girl looked up to see a young boy standing there, staring at her. "Ah, we 'aven't 'ad one o' youse since th' Island Life o' Mutual Killin', nope." He took a step towards her, twirling what appeared to be a wrench in his left hand. "Y'know, yer kinda pretty. What's a pretty li'l lady like youse doin' 'round a place like these, uh?" The girl stepped back, reaching out and grabbing the wrench while it was in midair.

"I was told the Future Foundation was here?" she responded, both answering and questioning. The boy froze.

"Ahhhhh, a 'ope's Peak student, eh? Well, yer friends ain't 'round 'ere no more." He shook his head, taking the wrench back. "S'kinda rude ta start stealin' before ya even introduce yerself, lassie. I'm gonna let ya go easy, but th' other Islanders sure ain't gonna like ya." The girl rolled her eyes, pushing him out of her way.

"Name's Aoi, and I want nothing to do with you."
