Welcome to the Kalos region (lawd, who comes up with these names)! Where is this new region? Well...maybe somewhere west of Unova? South? Eh...I'm not really sure. Look, all I know is that it's shaped like a freakin' star and based on France.

The Kalos region is full of brand new Pokemon...again! Yes, currently there are 40 new Pokemon that we know of. I'm sure we'll see it go up to 150, but for now, there's 40. I just don't see how we're suppose to "catch 'em all" if they just keep making more and more of these things. How big is the Pokemon world? UGH!
Okay, so the Kalos region is the new region that can be found in the upcoming games Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.
There's your English boxart. Pretty nifty, eh? We've got a crazy deer or moose-lookin' thing with pretty rainbow antlers. Then, there's this crazy red dragon thing with hands for its wings and tail that seems like it has beautiful flowing fur. I love it.
These are the two new legendary Pokemon in the new region. The majestic rainbow deer is Xerneas and the crazy dragon thing with hands is Yveltal (seriously, these names are hard to pronounce). What are they doing in the Kalos region? Well, buy the game and find out, ya freeloader!
As for new features, everything in Pokemon X and Y has a 3D model instead of the normal flat Pokemon world we know and love. Weather this was to keep up with current RPG games or to enhance gameplay on the 3DS, we will never know (maybe both)!
Also, you can ride Pokemon (yay)! How you can do this, no one knows.
Guess what? No, really, guess. ERR! Wrong! We finally get to customize our trainers. After, like, four generations, it's finally here! You start the game out with a few presets, and later in the game you're able to change things such as skin tone, clothes, hair style and color, etc. at special boutiques throughout the game.
They've replaced Team Plasma and Galactic and all that stuff with new baddies! Team Flare is their name and I'm sure stealing Pokemon and trying to take over the world is their game! Their outfits are super faboo, though!
Oh, geez, those shoes are awful, though. Gross. Totally threw off my love of their super stylish uniform and amazing hair.
Instead of those boring old battle introduction for overly-copied characters, everyone gets an intro! You get an intro! You get an intro! Old lady in row 4, you get an intro! Perhaps everyone will look different? No more overused sprites? I doubt it, but Game Freak has been known to surprise.
Below will be two more images. One of the starter Pokemon, and one of my favorite Pokemon released so far. Also, in the comments, tell me if everything looks okay (image wise)!

Hmmm... //Deep thinking
(You say anything perverted about my usage of the word 'deep', I will slap you so hard that Ci-Ci will be all "DAYUM. I FELT DAT!!" and that your grandchildren will feel it.) o.o
It wasn't an accidental release. The stores already had the stock, but some decided to release it early for more money. Think about it. There's no competition at that point. They're the only place where it's possible to get x/y, so they get all the income.
I'm guessing that once they sell all the stock that they have, Nintendo's not going to give them any more for that.

You're totally right. Nintendo would be crazy to give them more.
$5 a year for universal storage so that if you end up losing your game or your younger sibling decides to erase your file you'll still have that shiny Charizard you spent months breeding for doesn't seem that bad to me. You could waste $5 on a lot of worse things.
Plus, that's the only way to get the version transferrer.
