I was not at all dissapointed with the outcome of this book. It stunned me all over again, putting me in a trance in which I couldn't do anything but keep reading. Before I started it, I had my doubts. I wasn't sure if it would reach my expectations, which were extremely high after reading the first book. But it sucked me into the storyline and gave me that rare rush you get while reading a good book. I'll admit, the beginning was really slow, as the storyline picks up exactly where the previous book left off, but then it picks up. Then, it becomes slow again. And then from there it transforms into the action-packed story that I've come to expect. From that point, it just keeps on getting better and better until we reach the end, which has a surprising twist that leads to a HUGE cliffhanger.
WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT
If you liked (who am I kidding) loved Divergent, you will love Insurgent. Simple as that. It has that same theme of action and romance, and has all those OMG and WTH moments that define this series.
SUMMARY
Both enemies and aliances are made, forcing Tris and the others to seek refuge wherever they can find it. But when new information arises that contradicts everything they ever knew, they must choose carefully who to trust-because one wrong step, and everything and everyone Tris has ever loved will be destroyed.

What's the point of a review that can only be read after experiencing that which is reviewed?

Lol no I said don't read this book (the second book) review unless you've finished the first book (in which I also did a review on) because I mentioned some stuff that is in the first book and I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I suggest you read this series though. It's for people of all ages. I let my 54 year old aunt borrow it and she loved it. By the way I'm totally your fangirl x)
I didn't like the Matched series. I kept waiting for something eventfull to happen and when something finally did happen it was the end of the book. You should definitely read Divergent. More romance, DEFINITELY more action, and just a more high-quality series. Not trying to put Matched down, it just wasn't my thing.
You must have a different taste in books than me, as I thought the Hunger Games is WAY better than matched. If you want a gist of Divergent though, then look up the Divergent movie trailer.
