Swapnote has been disabled.


Few people have realized yet, but we'll answer why.

Because you touch the minds of other children with your insane thoughts and also some of you send others disgusting pictures.

The actual reported reason basically said it's because kids hop on bulletin boards, trade friend codes, and trade sensitive information. Yeah. I think deep down we knew this would happen.

It's disabled basically and only usable if you live know the people you're sending your message to. Streetpass only.
That's all.

Sources believe that this recent shutdown was largely due to a young woman named MysticalZoey who only ever sent drawings of moobs and poop over Swapnote. The final straw came when she began sending moobs MADE of poop.

Well, I have a friend in real life who I've been trying to get onto this site for months now. "There's no point." He says. We've recently started using Swapnote to talk to each other. Now I have a strong reason for him to join this site!

I liked Swapnote... hope this shut down doesn't effect Flipnote Studio 3D...

I just wanted it cause my best friends suggested it.I really wanted cause it was something we all wanted to do...something special is all.I didnt care if it sucked.I just wanted to use swapnote w/ them.But I also wanted a 3ds so I could use flipnote studio.So I can do animations again like I did on Hatena.

I feel like they might bring something like this back for the MiiVerse 3DS/Apps update, but with strict moderation.

Also, it kinda felt like Swapnote already died a long time ago anyway. It's time to move on~

I don't get why Nintendo doesn't just make it so that you can swapnote people over spotpass who you've:

A) Streetpassed AND friended, or
B) Registered locally.
They have the technology, why don't they use it?

I feel that so much. I rarely even went on swapnote, but I have a couple friends who sent out swapnotes at a rate of like 5 every day, and I think I have at least 50 pending,
