Tally Hall-- an American rock band formed in December of 2002 based in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a relatively significant cult following, known for their upbeat melodies and whimsical lyrics, which are described as "wonky rock" and "fabloo rock", and have even been said to have a "Beatles-like air" to them.
They were originally signed under Atlantic Records, but were re-signed by Quack! Media, who helped finance their first album, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.

Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum-- "MMMM" for short-- is a 14-track album that is very much worth a listen. Or two. Or twenty. It has many wonderful songs, like "Haiku," "Good Day," and "Just Apathy". There are also many strange songs, like Banana Man. Each song has its own special feeling to it-- some are relatable, some cheer you up, and some make you stop and go, "what in the WORLD am I listening to?"

So their music videos are disturbing, but they also once did an internet show by the name of Tally Hall Internet Show-- THIS for short. They were like the original Vines-- short videos of the band members doing stupid things for laughs. Most of the THIS videos were deleted, but "Natural Ketchup" and "Convenience Store Musical" still remain. There are also other videos-- BORALOGUE and What You Don't Know-- but it's unknown if these are related to THIS at all.

Sure, their last release was "Good and Evil" in 2011, but it's for good reason. Not only is band member Joe Hawley working on his own seperate project, "ミラクルミュージカル" ("Miracle Musical" in English), but their album has not sold well due to piracy of their music. Not only do they more than deserve the money, but they’ve stated that an increase in Good & Evil sales could prompt them to become active as a band again, and as such, if you enjoy their music, I to urge you to purchase the album from Quack! Media for $9.99 or from Amazon for $12.23 (with free shipping).
Don’t do iTunes though.

Okay, so this is all I can really write due to fear of making the blog too long, but I highly recommend checking out the Tally Hall website and their Youtube Channel if you wanna give them a try-- especially if you need a good pick-me-up, feel-good band.
