I'm always looking for new bands to listen to. When I find an awesome heavy metal band it's like Christmas morning all over. Ha. Just kidding, but I love finding new bands. It gives me something new to do so I don't get bored, and each band leads to more awesome bands. I owe this to Pandora radio. When I find a band I like I create a station of it, and then more bands similar to that one play. It's like a never ending circle of awesomeness.
The other day I was bored, so I opened my Pandora app and listened to Suffokate radio. I really like Suffokate. I think they're amazing, and a lot of other cool bands are on there. After listening for ahile a song I had already thumb's upped came on. Before I probably didn't pay attention to the song that much. I mean I liked it, but its awesome hadn't registered then. If it had the station for it would've been created then and not now.
So this time around I thought to myself, "Wow this song is great!" So I made the station for it. This band in particular was Dead Will Rise. I had never heard of them before, so I didn't know anything about them. All I knew was I really liked this song, and that they're considered a type of death metal, but they have some metal core aspects as well.
I looked this song up on YouTube and even found some information about them. I found out that they're not together any more from someone on YouTube. It really is a shame because from what I've heard of them, they're amazing.
The only album I've listened to is called Entrepreneur. It is their second album, and it came out in 2008. I don't think many people know of Dead Will Rise because I have yet to hear it mentioned. It'd be nice if more people knew of them and if they were together, but they aren't.
I've listened to all of the songs already, and I like them all. My favorite would have to be The Act of Vanishing. It's six minutes of head banging gold. I don't headbang much because it can cause damage, and it hurts, but it's almost impossible to not headbang to this. I love all of the breakdowns, and that it's kinda suspenseful. You think the song is over but nope. BAM! It goes again! It's really great.
I know what you mean. I saw Everfree Radio's top brony-made songs of 2013, and have already found an artist who's become one of my all-time favorites. I love just getting compilations and finding artists from there.
