Countless centuries of improvement and advancement in the scientific and mathematics fields led to the pain-staking fear that machine would one day be part of human society. A machine that could embed itself into human DNA and replicate itself. Where one's caneract could connect with the very invention society had brought forth.
Yet the world had not been ready for such an invention, instead it caused mass terror among the countries and confusion that would last decades. Where it stood among the rising war, nobody knows. All that ended up brought forth was destruction of France, and the revival of Egypt giving them control over surrounding territories. The UN was flattened months later by the machines and people were recruited to stop this war from happening.
Japan was among the many countries that split during the era of Great Turmoil. It became New Japan and was accompanied by the Kiyokyu force that became the prime military base for most of the country. The event only lasted a mere seven months before New Japan was taken over by an impeding invasion yet unknown to the people itself. Kiyokyu, after being wiped out, led many people to form up and fight off this force ending the terror in New Japan.
As the war continued on else where, the USA fell to a rebellion within its states. Its defenses left and became known as the Dead Nation. Countless machines engaged in this territory and took over a vast majority of the nation.
Several years of fighting led many people to flee to other regions in hopes of a safe haven, one that was passed on to New Japan, Germanic regions, and elsewhere. The war could not end at the rate it was going as it involved many people to be recalled from the UN project in space. Countries continued to fall in such an ardent way that it became impossible for any one country to be considered a world power any more. Egypt continued to blossom with their new model of machines and soon controlled territories upon territories with mass fear and blood. They ended their approach with an invasion on New Japan, the country that would not fall, which led to a huge standstill that lasted many months.
"We live in a society that doesn't care anymore. A society that can easily turn when times get tragic. When was the last time you could see a smile on a man or woman's face? Sadly, not in my lifetime."
Lein Pilon, Syrian Archaeologist and High-End Biochemist on Project Artium, 2018.

Those of you who are not aware of the series, Code Headhunter revolves around an event called the Great Turmoil of 2017. It sparked with the involvement of military force from Poland against France, and upon the invention of the mech from Japan in 2012. The story line focuses on a fine line between being realistic as it can be and being as fantastical as you would hope it to be. Many of the events are rallied around a key theme within the stories that take place in Code Headhunter.
