It was the first day of summer in, June,
I counted stars with you.
Forgetting what life meant,
All that mattered that I was with you.
Scared to hold your hand,
Almost as if it was bad.
But I took a chance,
Holding in my breath relaxing my fear.
We stayed up past ten every night,
You where always in my sight.
Nervous so nervous to hold your hand,
Holding my breath counting to ten.
Honey, Baby, Shorty,
Babe, Nerd, Tree.
Nick names across our wrists in pen,
Still forgetting to breath after we count to ten.
Scared to say, 'I Love You',
Saying, 'Loaf' instead.
Confident with out braces,
Just a couple more weeks.
I don't know what to say,
Other than, hun.
I don't what to say,
I'm flustered.
Laughing like a girl,
Teasing like a boy.
Mutant brown eyes,
Dark blue, light around the pupil.
Knotted hair,
Skinny frame.
Tall,
Cute.
Straightened hair,
Skinny frame.
Short,
Queer.
I guess I mean to say,
Even if I say loaf, too afraid to say, love.
I know in my heart,
I really do, Love You.
