❝ Xbox One Will Make A Huge Turnaround ❞ By: Emanuel Cruz
May 14, 2014Hey guys it's Emanuel Cruz here with a huge announcement about Microsoft.
Back in November, Microsoft launched the Xbox One for $499! This prize upset many of Xbox fans making them switch over to the $399 PlayStation 4. The Xbox One lacked the importance of a game console, great games. Instead, focusing more on transforming the Xbox One to a all in one entertainment system. While this was a step in the future, many consumers disliked the whole idea. This resulted in a huge sales difference against Sony's PlayStation 4. Sony sold over 7 million PlayStation 4 game consoles while Microsoft's, Xbox One, only sold 5 million consoles, but Microsoft won't give up so easily. With Microsoft series of announcements posted early Tuesday morning, Microsoft said that the company has been listening and that things will change.
Kinect-less Xbox One Launches on June 9th
"For starters, Microsoft has finally accepted that the market doesn't want Kinect..." That being said, Microsoft plans to release a Xbox One without Kinect set to launch on June 9th for $399. That's right just like its successor, the PlayStation 4. Pre-orders can be placed now. Microsoft also announced that if a customer was to purchase a Xbox One for $399 and later decides they want a Kinect, they will be able to purchase a standalone Kinect sensor which will be available for purchase this fall. Microsoft will continue sell the premium Xbox One system with Kinect for $499.
Xbox Live Gold Subscription Not Needed to Stream Apps
In a post Tuesday morning, Microsoft announced that a Xbox Live Gold subscription wasn't required to stream apps on Xbox One or Xbox 360 consoles like Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, HBO Go etc... Which cost many gamers $60 just to access, on top of the monthly fee most streaming apps require. This move will allow Microsoft to remain competitive with Sony and Nintendo who offer online service for free.
So what do you guys think? Will these change have a huge or small affect on Xbox One sells. Can Microsoft finally catch up to the successful PlayStation 4? Will having a Xbox One with no Kinect be pointless or better? I think having the Kinect is an important part of Xbox One. In fact, 80% of Xbox One users are actively using Kinect, Microsoft said Tuesday morning. So let me know, please share your opinions in the comment box down below.

Hmm. It's good Microsoft is trying to fix this, but they need to answer some very tough questions to get my support. For example... What is "Kinect"? I keep seeing that word, but I don't know what it is. Also, do you need to buy that VCR player thing?
