Today Apple has released iOS 7.1.2, which is the latest (and probably the last) update iteration for iOS 7 before the release of iOS 8. We are taking a closer look at it.
WHAT'S NEW?
This update includes mainly very small fixes and improvements. Nothing really to get excited about. There are some noteworthy features to talk about, though.
The first one is that it fixes iBeacon connectivity and reliability. iBeacons is the locational service Apple has built into iOS to provide advertisement or marketing services from a specific location once you are in range.
Secondly, this update fixes the compatibility of 3rd party accessories, including bar code scanners. This is mainly important for the enterprise use of iOS.
Thirdly, this update fixes the ability to access unencrypted mail attachments stored on your device through a file management application on your computer.
This update also includes other minor bug fixes and security improvements.
It is always important to run the latest version of any kind of software, as it is more secure and keeps your information safe. I highly recommend installing this update as it has important security improvements, even as insignificant it may seem.
JAILBREAK INFORMATION
Thankfully, Apple did not patch the latest exploits that the pangu.io jailbreak utility uses to achieve an untethered jailbreak on iOS 7.1.1 or earlier, according to iH8Snow. This means an untethered jailbreak can be achieved on iOS 7.1.2 using the same utility.
I will be making a blog soon demonstrating how to jailbreak your iOS device on iOS 7.0-7.1.2 using the pangu.io jailbreak utility.
So why wait? Go ahead and update. It's free.
📱Compatibility: This update is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s; the iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation, iPad 4th generation, iPad Air; the iPad mini 1st generation, iPad mini with the Retina Display; and the iPod touch 5th generation via OTA and iTunes.
You will need at least 1.4GB free to install this update. The update is approximately 30MB in size.

Good because I looked it up and apparently if Jailbreaking = more apps on store than it's better than nothing.

Jailbreaking just opens up way more customizability and features on top of what iOS has to offer, because the sandboxing features of iOS have been exploited. It's kind of fun being jailbroken as you can mess around with it and explore what you can do with iOS.

Like, with the menu and stuff? I got my first iOS device like less than a month ago so I barely understand it.

Is Jailbreaking possible in the iOS 8 thing?

It will be, yes. The jailbreaking team is saving useful exploits to use for an iOS 8 jailbreak.
iOS 7 is sooooo last year. I'm enjoying the features of iOS 8, but it's really buggy and has every memory leak one can imagine.

I am running it as well. I think it is less buggier than the iOS 7 betas were. I also think it is significantly faster. Didn't know about the memory leaks though.

Aside from the memory leak issues, iOS 8 and Yosemite have been great with the continuity features. I like being able to leave my iPhone in the other room and send/receive texts on my iPad and computer.
