PWN had yet another report. Ian switched to there, where the image on screen was of him, carrying out the eggs. "...this trainer worked at PokéCorp, and was part of the gene splicing experiment. Dr. Kennedy Johnson, CEO of PokéCorp, has requested that this man call and report the status of the eggs." Ian was about to reach for his cell phone when he remembered he had left it in a storage locker at the PokéCorp building. And his home phone plan had expired, so he was phoneless.
Ian walked out of his house and got in his car, a Model 50 Adventurer. As he drove to the local resteraunt for some food, he stopped by the PokéCorp Wireless building to buy a new phone. A shiny new Pika Phone 6, running pOS 12.6. Much more useful than his original Pika Phone 2, which could only run up to pOS 2.9.
When Ian got back on the road, it was around noon. When he would of usually got off work at. He drove down the street, and pulled into the Miltank Burgers parking lot. It seemed like a normal day, until the car window smashed. Ian didn't remember what happened next, as then he blacked out.

"Alright, 334-6739... Nothing. I'm sure that it's his number..." Tom Johnson muttered as he tried to dial Ian's number. He wasn't getting anything, besides a message from PokéCorp Wireless that the phone number didn't exist.
Then, Tom got a notification. "Hmmm, new news from PWN... Oh, probably something about gas prices again." He pulled up the app to view the live broadcast. "A man was shot in his car at the parking lot at Miltank Burgers. The victim was identified as-" was all Tom heard until the internet went out. "Dang it!" He had cable, so he didn't get PWN on his TV. Tom got the internet back up, but by then the reporter was talking about gas prices.
