Could you love me?
If I had a small problem
Would you listen?
If I was hurt enough to cry

Because the world has gone mad
The children are growing sad
Our emotions turned sour
Greed is all we seem to devour
Racism is well alive
Dreams so broken, no longer strived
More people attempting suicide
Evil has taken over our peace
I`m hoping that you`re kind-hearted
Because I can`t face this world alone

So if I asked to be held close
Would you hug me?
If I had nowhere else to go
Would you take me in?
Because our people are masked
A shoulder to cry on is too much to ask
The world is beyond cruel
And intellegence makes you a "fool"
Cheerful spirits are long gone
Nobody knows right from wrong
Those who were strong are now weak
No one has the courage to speak
Our faith is hatred for one another
Young people don`t respect their mothers
More kids drop out of school
Drinking is what they claim as cool
But I`m hoping you have a pure heart
Because I can`t face this world alone

Could you smile for me?
If I had no one else to turn to
Would you be there for me?
If I was to become dark like others who walk this planet
Would you save me?
