I was kind of hoping that I would get to stay home today because of what happened, but I knew better than to ask that of my mother. The only excuses to get out of going to school was if you were sick, somebody died, or if there was a snowday. I could never get out of school for a snowday because it doesn`t snow in Florida. I know I should be grateful for my health, but sometimes-like today- I wish I was sick.
I`ve never been the popular type. I am the kind of girl that wears sweatshirts rather than crop tops, jeans rather than short skirts. The girls here think it`s because I`m poor and can`t afford to buy fancy clothes, but the truth is; I don`t want to. They all think that being mean helps them become popular, and if that`s the cost of "being somebody", why would you even want that type of fame? Yeah, be known as the girl with no friends because you drove them away with your attitude. No thanks.

Well, first hour didn`t go very well, we had a pop quiz, which I`m sure I flunked. I already know that second hour isn`t going to be any better, it`s onebof the worst hours of the day. I can tell just by walking into the locker room, that trouble was going to start. I watch carefully as Terra, Jessica, and Mariah-the most popular girls in school- walk towards me. They all have a michievious look on their faces, I tense up as they come closer.
"Out of my way, loser" , Mariah says, shoving me into the lockers.
"Takes a loser to know a loser." Dumb! I knew it from the moment it came out of my mouth. Gosh that was lame. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
"Watch your back," Terra says, glaring at me. They stand there giggling away at something that isn`t even worth smiling about. I guess that`s "cool girls" for you.

"Today class," Mr. Rodgers, the gym teacher began, "'We`ll start our dodgeball games, now there will be teams of which I`m choosing, so listen up for your name."
