When I get to class, I sat down in a desk that was by the window in the back of the classroom.
The teacher wasn’t here yet, so I just looked out the window.
“Zennia?â€
I whip around to the sound of a familiar voice. It was April, my best friend from middle school before I moved to this place and left everyone behind.
“Oh my gosh! April! I haven’t seen you in forever! How are you?†I exclaim excitedly.
“I’m good! More people have started moving here, so my family moved here about a month and a half ago.†She replies with a smile on her face. Her long blonde hair reaches her waist, and her hazel eyes have gotten even lighter. Wow, I thought. She sure has changed since I last saw her.
“That’s cool.†I say, returning the smile.
“Yeah!†She cheerfully nods.
Just then, the door to the classroom slides open. We all turn to face the front of the class, expecting the teacher to walk in.
