loose winded knee caps
without you there
untied shoes
and bandage wraps
broken chains
and destroyed soda bottles
hard hitting pain
made an easy stain
but without you here,
you know you did wrong
creaking swing set
a midnight song
and a certain distance
between "okay" and "wrong"
the feelings I felt
were horribly strong
untied tire swings
abandoned on the ground
dark set flowing rain
not even a sound
pens bit to the point
of being broken
paper on the ground
the pain of being awoken
but without you here,
it all tasted different
without you there,
I found out who they were
shattered vases
in an elegant home
paintings broken
I covered the bases
loose hurting feet
my feelings deplete
if not for a night
putting it up without a fight
taste of iron in my mouth
everything headed a little bit south
