People keep heckin asking me what the heck a Furry is and by people I mean like 2 of them and I already explained, but just so I NEVER HAVE TO AGAIN I'LL MAKE A THING. So this isn't gonna be like a lolololo Kitty's making jokes and acting like an idiot. Also this will probably be updated every so often if I think of things to add

Well what even is a furry you furry
A furry is literally just someone who likes anthropomorphic animals, and says that they're a Furry pretty much. It literally just comes down to "well do you consider yourself a furry?" If you said yes, congratulations u r now a furry. If you said no congratulations u r still not a furry. So like, even if you just drew anthropomorphic animals a lot it doesn't make you a Furry. Or someone who happens to dress up as like the school mascot or something, doesn't necessarily mean they are a Furry.

Okay but what is the deal with Fursuits?
They're literally just costumes of the persons Fursona that they either make themself or commission. Usually worn to Furry Conventions or just to suiting events in general like Furmeets. They tend to be super expensive unless you make your own so unless you want to be attacked by a furry probably don't be a dick and try to destroy their suit. A lot of people actually dance in their suits at Cons during dance competitions and it's pretty coolio my dudes. People also like to wear them to Charities to being help being attention to whatever charity is going on, or people just suit around their local parks and places to just entertain and have fun! Fursuits are also not made using real fur! Pelts would be too small to use and are super expensive, it would not be possible to make a suit using real fur. So don't worry you aren't gonna run into someone who has real fur on their suit. It's also looked down upon in the fandom to try to use real fur anyways, since we already have PETA triggered at us because they THINK we use real fur.

What the heck is a Furry Convention
Basically think Comicon, but mostly furries. There are Furry conventions everywhere, especially in America. I know of a few cons that go on in the U S of A and atleast one in Australia. In America there are AnthroCon, Midwest FurFest, Biggest Little FurCon, CaliFur, and AnthrOhio. The one I know from Australia is Furdu. But they are all over the place! Fun Fact by the way Furry conventions actually bring a lot of money into the economies of the cities they are held in. Over the years of AnthroCon running it has brought over $50 Million dollars to Pittsburgh. AnthroCon is also the biggest Furry Convention.

You mentioned a Furmeet. Whats that?
A Furmeet is usually a smaller local meeting for Furries of that area. They also tend to be all over the place. They aren't like Conventions where Furries meet from all over the world at a Convention, it's usually just a group of Furries from a local area meeting at a park to just hangout and have fun.

Hang on the other times you explained Furries you mentioned the people who do adult things. You didn't this time
Well I am now :U I would have mentioned them under Fursuits, but acually I have learned that the suits used for Yiffing are reffered to as Murrsuits. You will hopefully never run into someone in one outdoors because theyy obviously would have holes in places holes shouldn't but yea, the Fandom has a sexual side. Most of the time it's just weird art or something. But you know people and their kinks. Also no, that doesn't mean the whole Fandom just has a fetish for Furries. Some of them might, but I'd say the majority do not.

Wait if these people are in suit all the time how do they keep from overheating? Especially outdoors
HANDLERS! Fursuit handlers are usually a suiters friend or relative who is with them to keep watch to make sure no one is making them uncomfortable, to help them so they don't accidentally bump into things or people and just generally to watch out for them. Often times they'll have all the suiters items like phones and such. A handlers most important job is to give the suiter water when they need it to make sure they don't overheat or get heat stroke.

Well is there anything else we should know?
If you see someone who is Fursuiting don't be a complete dick and like sneak up on them or jump on them. The visibility in a suit is already like nonexistant so they probably don't want you jumping all over them. Not only that but the suits are not indestructible. If you have someone jumping all over them or tugging on them something's gonna break or a seam will pop. So just don't do it. Also never EVER touch a suit if you have food or dirt or anything on your hands. It is very hard to wash the suits and they don't need you putting your nasty disgusting hands all over them staining the fur. Another good thing to note is don't scratch at the fur like you would a dog or cat. Again Suits are fragile and you scratching at the fur can cause it to come out. So just don't do it. It may also be reffered to a Skritching. Also don't like constantly come up to a suiter for hugs or to pet at them or something, because while it may be cute for awhile eventually it becomes creepy. Some suiters may also not speak to you in Suit, some either have birdcalls or a squeaker of some sort to make noise or some are silent. Also at conventions there are things called headless lounges. Unless you are a suiter and are in suit you are NOT allowed in there. The headless lounges are for suiters only to sit down, take their head off and relax and cool off. They most likely do not want you running around in there.
