I return to give you all a new blog I guess. Also a return of KITTY'S HATRED OF PETA.
I don't get why people get so triggered over taxidermy. It's honestly kind of pathetic imho. Like, don't get me wrong I love animals as much as the next guy but people get so genuinely upset because "HOW DARE YOU HAVE A PELT OF AN ANIMAL" Like could ye not.
I understand if it just creeps you out, Taxidermied animals scared me as a kid. But most people seem upsetti in the spaghetti just because you had the audacity to own a pelt. Like??? I understand if they got it illegally. But if it died of natural causes why get so butthurt?
I much rather see a pelt of an animal get taken care of and kept well maintained than to see it get trashed because "NO!! ITS BAD TO HAVE ANIMAL PELTS!" Like just calm down jesus. If it died of natural causes it died of natural causes.
Also why do people act like they'd get more angry if you had killed the animal yourself or just flat out automatically assume you did. Like "Oh No, I have killed this deer for I was hungry. I am going to take it's meat for food. I could also keep it's hide as to not waste whats left of the deer." But nope. You just killed that deer and even though you could use the hide for something or just keep it as to not waste any more of that dead animal, you are instantly satan for you killed that animal. I'd understand if it were an endangered species or something but not like an animal you'd hunt normally.
I don't get the absolute butthurtedness over simple animal pelts.
Pelts are absolutely beautiful in all honesty I'd love to have one, but they are super expensive.
And Now I shall throw PETA into the mix. Why? Because while I tried writing this with my schools succubus of a wifi network, if I looked up anything regarding pelts I got either PETA whining or links I couldn't follow because the schools internet is a plague on this earth.
I can't stand PETA and everyone already knows that.
But I just love how they act like Taxidermy is the worst thing. GOD FORBID WE PRESERVE PART OF THIS DEAD ANIMAL INSTEAD OF WASTING IT. Most animals I see taxidermied are Deer anyway. I know other animals get taxidermied like bears, coyotes, foxes and rabbits. Probably other animals too.
They also act like hunting is the worst thing ever. Hunting is LEGAL though. If they said poaching maybe I'd agree. But it's hunting. Other animals hunt, and generally hunting season has a lot of rules and regulations. You need a permit, You can only kill so many animals, you can only hunt during a certain time of year etc. It's not like Huntings a free for all that you can just do all day every day as much as you want.
"But but Kitty, the animal doesn't always die quickly when you hunt it!"
Yea. And? Prey animals don't always die quickly or painlessly either when its predator hunts it. You gonna start trying to turn wolves vegan? Look yea it sucks they don't die painlessly. But once they're dead they're dead. You believe in an afterlife? Well little timmy the deer is in a better place now where he won't feel pain anymore.
