UPDATE:
I'm noticing a few minor glitches from the server migration as I browse the websites. I'll tackle those over the next couple days. They seem to be little more than missing icons or header sections on pages... things like that.

I'm working on the alerts and notifications yet. When I migrated server's, I forgot to carry over some of the automated processes. (Oops!)
The browsers for the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS are too old to recognize the Let’s Encrypt certificate authority. (I haven’t tested the New Nintendo 3DS or the Wii U.) Encryption will still work, but you will get an angry message when first accessing the websites.

Just tested it on a New2DS. I did type it as https:// and still got a certificate error popup. I tried to upload a screenshot but it wouldn't let me for some reason.
Now I can on Paint in an open wifi, not worry someone packet sniff me, and go on a rampage with my powers.

A man-in-the-middle attack is still possible if they intercept your initial attempt at connecting. Once SSL negotiation is established, you should be good.
I used letsencrypt.org, by the way. It's a free certificate-generation tool that's supported by all modern browsers and OSes.

If I understand correctly, doesn't SSL use asymmetrical/RSA encryption? Even if the man in the middle intercepts me, he still wouldn't have our private keys and attempting to solve the RSA equation to find the private keys would be a pain in the butt.

People will use tools that intercept then relay the packets to give themselves enough time to decrypt the key without either party knowing the eavesdropping. It’s harder with stronger encryption keys now but is still possible. Personal certificates or a VPN are better methods of security, but public SSL certs are still much better than having nothing.
