When people ask if I am okay,

I don't know how to respond.

How could I possibly explain the tyrant of emotions constantly rushing through me from dusk to dawn.

I could try,

But nobody would understand.

They would say it was for attention,

Or that sympathy i am trying to land.

But i'm not.

Little do they know that every day I am forced to endure wars with my thoughts.

I never seem tocome out on the winning team.

They do not know about the nights when sleep is replaced by silenced screams

I am constantly crying for help but no one can hear.

I have no choice but to wish the end is near.

I have met very few people who understand these twisted thoughts,

But the ones who do leave my stomach tied into knots.

I am afraid of being laughed at or judged,

When all I really need is a little bit of love.

So please don't ask if i'm okay,

Because if you have to ask,you know the answer anyway.
