My Eyes Crave the Black,
but they're Force-fed the White…
My Eyes Yearn for Darkness,
yet they Burn from the Light…
My Screen is like Daytime,
though my Eyes need the Night…
Do those responsible for this
even understand our Plight?
I switch it to Dark Mode,
to ease my Eyes Pain…
But alas, it was pointless,
for I see White again…
Only this time,
the White is even worse for my Eyes…
I can't even read simple Text,
unless I Highlight…
So am I forced to decide,
between 2 Terrible Sights?
To have to Highlight Text to Read it,
or be Blinded by Light?
I'd like to Thank Finrod for inspiring me to Write this Poem.
It's about a VERY important problem here on Paint: How Dark Mode is broken on certain Pages.
You see, Dark Mode is supposed to make the Background on which Text appears Dark, and make the Text itself White (similar to this Blog here), but unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly on certain Pages, and the result is VERY Light Text and the regular White Background.
I'm not trying to blame anyone for this, but there is a rather simple solution, that (if applied) would make many people's Profiles and Group Pages readable by us Dark Mode users.
Enter the following into either the CSS Field in your Settings (for Profiles), the Title of your Group (for the Shoutbox and stuff of your Group), or the same Field you enter the actual Text into (for the Main Page of your Group, or for additional Group Pages you make), in order to fix the issues with Dark Mode:
(style) td, div, h1{color:black}(/style)
Or:
(style) td, div, h1{background:#404040 !important;color:white}(/style)
Either of these will fix the problem, with the first one making it look like Light Mode (AKA "Regular Mode"), and the second one making it look like this Blog here.
When entering the Code, use brackets like these [ ] instead of these ( ) BTW.
I'd also like to Thank Gemini Guardian for teaching me how to do the CSS, BTW.
And lastly, here is an example of how difficult it can be to read stuff on Pages where Dark Mode doesn't work right:
Darkrai used Dark Void
(If you could read that without Highlighting it first, then you've got some VERY good Eyesight, lol!)
