I need help in improving my trash. Feel free to say everything you think about this. Oh and please make a title thanks.
*beep* *beep* *bep*
I opened my eyes to the beeping of my alarm clock. I sit up and look around outside my window. “It’s…. Snowing?†I said this to myself. I get up from my bed yawning. I stand for a good 10 seconds before I felt the coldness that is wrapping around me. Brrrr. I fight the freezing temperature as I prepare for school.
On the way to school I saw a familiar face running the opposite direction. It was Emilia, a childhood friend of mine. We were friends since kindergarten. We know each other for so long that our parents are also friends. She was that kind of friend that will always get you in trouble. She is clumsy, forgetful, and uhhh cute. We used to play all the time when we were kids, but lately we've kind of drifted away from each other. I still try to talk to her but that's just about it. I waived at her but she doesn’t seem to see me. I shouted.
Josh: Emilia!
She looked surprised as if I’m the one running away from school, or at least that how it looked like. Why the heck is she even here?
Emilia: Josh? what are you doing here?
Uhhh
Josh: I should be the one asking that. What happened? You look like you came out from hell or something.
Emilia: Ahh hehe, about that. I kinda forgot my project at home. Y'know? the miniature thing-y.
Josh: Mini.. Isn't that last week's project?
Emilia: I... forgot?
That sounded more like a question than an answer. I gave her the infamous glare of disbelief.
Emilia: H-hey, don't look at me like that, c'mon.
Josh: What look?
I said jokingly. Wait. Why are we even still here?
Josh: Anyways, go get your already due project. I'll wait.
Emilia: Oh, no need for that. I can manage.
Josh: Who said anything about helping?
Emilia: I-I didn't say anything about that.
She ran off inside her home. Of course, I didn't mean that. I will help. a little. And besides, I know she won't let me help. She said she doesn't want other people helping her. She didn't want to be dependent; I think that's what she said. She's just making it harder for herself. I mean, everyone needs help, right? Well, it's not like I can do anything about it. Which I totally regret because of the fact that she's my best friend. What would be a best friend's use if that best friend can't help his best friend. That was a mouthful, or a brainful... anyways, it's been 3 minutes since she went inside. I hope nothing's wrong. I waited for another minute and she finally got out.
Emilia: Sorry to keep you waiting, I had to fix something.
Josh: Nahh, it's fine.
I looked at her hair that is now a mess. What exactly happened in there?
Josh: What happened to you?
Emilia: Hmm? What do you mean?
Josh: Your hair is a mess. Hold still.
I tried to fix her hair by hair combing, if that word even exists. It somehow straightened some of the hair.
Emilia: H-hey, I can do it myself
Josh: Well why didn't you? What were you doing in there?
Emilia: I uhh- hehe
Josh: Hmmm.
I grabbed the rubber band that I was wearing. I grabbed Emilia by her shoulders and turned her around 180 degrees. I started tying her hair.
Emilia: Just like the old days huh?
Oh yeah. Back then, I was the one who always tied her hair when were done playing. Then after that we go to a nearby convenience store and buy drinks. We then walk around the park and talk. We were so innocent back then. We have no care in the world. Those were the good days.
I smiled as I finished with her hair. She looks beautiful. Well, she already is beautiful even before. I like Emilia, but I somehow can't tell her that. I get the feeling that if I tell her, she won’t like it, or worse, she won’t talk to me again. So, I never had the courage to.
I noticed I was staring at her; shoot I hope she didn’t notice.
Emilia: T-thanks
She didn’t notice I was looking, did she?
Josh: I-I wasn’t looking at you or anything.
Emilia: I... didn’t say anything
Shoot, oh uhh…
Josh: A-anyways, we should uhh, get going. We don’t wanna be late. Yeah.
I said while trying to break the awkwardness that hugged me. I hope she doesn’t suspect a thing.
We started walking to school
What if she finds out I like her; it’ll be the end of the world if she did. What would I do? Oh no. Wait, maybe I’m overthinking this.
Emilia: Hey uhh.. Josh?
Oh shoot. Ooh no.
Josh: Y-yeah?
My anxiety is hitting the roof.
Emilia: Can I ask you something?
Oh no, what will she ask? Does she know? This is the end for me. I can’t bear to live if my best friend suddenly stopped talking to me. Oh no. God please help me.
Emilia: What would you do if I leave this world?
My heart stopped. Where did that question came from? Why is she asking questions like this?
Josh: Where did that came from?
Emilia: Just answer please.
Is something wrong? Have I done something?
Josh: Well, I’d be really hurt. I won’t bear the fact that my best friend is gone. I-I, won’t. I can’t. I can’t.
Tears fell from my eyes. Why would she ask something like this? I looked down trying to hide my tears. But I think she already noticed.
Emilia: I-I’m sorry Josh, I didn’t... realize.
I wiped my tears
Josh: I-it’s fine
Emilia: No, it’s not, I shouldn’t have asked you that.
Josh: Let’s just forget about it.
Emilia: But..
I poked her forehead with my fingers. I used to do this when she feels sad or she feels like being a burden to others.
Emilia: Ah… you still remember.
Josh: Of course, how could I forget?
I saw her smiled. I felt like all my problems magically disappeared. I love her.
Josh: Anyways, we should get going.
Emilia: Y-yeah.
We continued walking until we parted because we had separated rooms.
