During the making of that copy/paste system, I basically had to defeat the DSi's protection against something called CORS. However, since I managed to do that, I can now create all kinds of useful tools for the DSi browser.
So, I created another tool: A tool that lets you save any picture you see in your DSi browser to your DSiPaint gallery. If you want, you can set that image as your profile picture after that.
After installing the bookmark, if you ever see a nice picture online, just open the bookmark. It will then ask you to click the image that you want to upload. Just click the image you want to upload, and it will be uploaded to your gallery! (Of course, you have to be logged in to DSiPaint for this to work)
I had to take advantage of some quirky things to make this work, but I think the final result is quite elegant
Do you guys happen to have any more requests for useful tools you'd like to have in your DSi browser? I was thinking about making a tool that lets you enter more than 2000 characters in text inputs!
this one isnt working for me the other ones are but this one isnt. i deleted the thing at the begining and everything. ive tried it sevenral times the message isnt popping up at all
Hmmm, that redirecting problem I tried to fix by deactivating all urls on the webpage, but maybe I overlooked something. Can you send me the URL to a page where it doesn't work?
Regarding opening an image up and having it not work then, that's probably because my script looks for <img > tags within the body of the webpage, and if you open the image first, there probably isn't a body. Good point though, I could probably also fix that.
Oh that's probably because Facebook uses elements with a background image instead of regular image elements... Probably in an attempt to make saving images harder.
Just saying, my bookmark method kinda does that... just insert the text into the textbox, no more, no less.
Maybe something like a tool to combine blogs. I've always wanted to do something like that, but I've never actually got around to doing something like that.
Yes, that is true! However, the advantage of this method is that it works in your DSi browser! And I added the image clicking system because then you won't have to find out and remember the URL of the image you're trying to save.
What do you mean by combining blogs? Sounds interesting.
As of right now, blogs are typed in textboxes, which means they're subject to the 2000 character limit. I just wanted to see a tool where you could select blogs under your control that you wanted to combine in order to add together in another blog.
