This one will be about the normal behaviors you should know about before getting a rat. They happen often and might seem a little weird, but it's perfectly normal
1.Bruxing
Rats brux all the time. Bruxing is when a rat chatters or grinds its teeth. They do this because their teeth are growing all the time and it helps keeping their teeth from growing too long.
2.Eye boggling
This often happens when they brux so hard, their eyes look like they are popping out. They mostly do it when they are happy.
3.Sneezing
It's not really a sneeze, it's more like a sniff, they do this all the time out because they're constatly smelling things.
4.Death Sleeping
it's not called death sleeping, im not sure what the name is, but it's when they look like they are dead while sleeping(its kinda like theyre playing dead) They do this when they are extremly comfortable.
5. Raising their tail
Rats often raise their tail off the ground when they are curious and are in a new place. They often do this when playing around out of their cages.
6.Standing
They like to do this a lot. There's not really a reason for it, but I think it's because they are trying to be as high as possible, this is why they love climbing.
7.Play-fighting
They do this with other rats and may often try to do it with humans. It's friendly, but if the rats start getting to rough, it could be a real fight.
8.Flea-bitting
This is nibbling on either other rats or humans. It shows that they respect you
9.Vocal sounds
They may make these very quiet noises while wondering around. There's not really a reason for it.
10.Boxing
This is when two rats stare at eachother while standing. They often look like theyre kissing while it happens. Boxing can occur during play fights.
